Bauer Recruitment Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship awarded annually to a number of international students who are accepted into the University of Houston. The value of the scholarship varies each year. Typically, the scholarship provides up to USD 1000 per year for tuition fees. In 2024-2025, the Tammy S. Bauer Memorial Scholarship will provide financial assistance to a student who is an alumna of Northern Lehigh High School (NLHS) in Pennsylvania and who has overcome hardship with determination. This student should demonstrate a commitment to continuing their education and be committed to making positive change in the lives of others. The scholarship is valued at $5,000 per year for a maximum of two years.

Deadlines

The student must have a strong desire to pursue a career in the oil and gas industry and demonstrate financial need.

The National Security Education Program (NSEP) was created to provide UH graduate and undergraduate students with the opportunity to engage in a study abroad experience in countries or areas critical to national security interests. NSEP participants will be required to complete a service agreement during their time at the university, in addition to their degree requirements.
